The following was was written at two different points in life, thus the double date above.

It is 6 am and I am up drinking coffee eating a bagel and looking for jobs. It is one of the two things I do daily now. the rest is a blur of tasks that eventually lead to another project.
Yesterday paint and stain for an upcoming project, however, my brushes are at another location for another project. So that is on hold a bit, but we are making progress. I did some laundry, watched a movie “Away from Her” deeply touching and sad. Ate some lunch around 2, walked the dog and went out car shopping with my daughter.
So far, my focus is all over the map, because this is a time of change and discovery. My personal belief has always been, what’s the worst thing they can tell you? No.. ? So you have nothing to lose, if it interests you apply. If you get an interview tell them why it interests you. Be sincere and maybe just maybe.. they will take a chance on you. (I am visualizing Julie Walters and Stellan Skarsgard about now).
So far I have applied for a woodworking apprentice (yes I did. I love wood) , admin assistant, bakery route driver, bakery asst (Costco), Temp agency, Chamber of Commerce fundraising assistant, program manager, I-80 truckstop; office manager, retail clerk, Blood bank, hair stylist receptionist, Barista ( hey I worked at Panera once and I love coffee) Menards ( I can help people find stuff to fix stuff) Theater staff ( no, I am not an actor but love the atmosphere) I am open to any and all possibilities.
I have numerous resumes, the education focused resume, the simple resume, the experience resume I have em’ all and I have used them.
And in the meantime, I am riding a bike and enjoying this break from reality. Who knows I may enjoy this so much that I may never have a “regular” job again, who knows??

Well as fate would have it at this current moment, none of those jobs called me to find out anything further, so I went back to what I know, Executive Support. My heart tells me this is the right move for now. I am looking forward to this new opportunity with a open mind and heart. Let’s see where this will lead.
I have no doubt that the “fun” work will come, in maybe a few more years. But for now, it is time to return to College (sort of)!
Until Next time,
Jeany
